About the International |
The International Association of Airport and Seaport Police "InterPortPolice" was established in 1968, forty two years. ago Members are the public/ government departments, agencies, authorities and individuals of law enforcement and public safety organizations at the world's airports and seaports. The board meets a minimum of twice a year and has an annual Delegates meeting.
The InterPortPolice also has associate membership programs for airlines, cruiselines, shipping and other security officials with organizations that have direct interface with our police and security departments. Also a Corporate Partner program is available. Please see the membership page for additional details.
Objectives include:

Deterrence, detection and response to unlawful activity;

Promotion of the most effective safety, security and law enforcement procedures;

Encouraging development of information exchange and experience;

Facilitating partnerships through regional networking;

Providing expertise for training programs;

Assisting organizations that are responsible for setting standards for safety, security & law enforcement; and

Developing strategic cooperation with other organizations.
